      Results

Our cluster has contributed to five cluster findings which we believe to be significant. We developed a model that was used to inform pedagogy and plan learning activities.

Transfer of learning is an element for further investigation beyond this project. There is almost no published research on measuring transfer, and our attempt to develop something floundered through lack of time. Hence we dropped it from our research question.

      Our Cluster evidence included:

      • Video footage of Maths 300 problem-solving challenge – viewed and analysed
      • Teacher-led interview of the students relating to the challenge – follows interview protocol including prompts
      • Student with 5 focus aspects of resilience
        • Growth Mindset
        • Metacognition
        • Adaptability
        • Interpersonal
        • Sense of purpose
      • Staff Survey with foci on the same 5 aspects – connects to challenge and ongoing observations
      • Journals and Visual Diaries
